End of an era

Ruby and Elsie come over for a movie night... Hotel for Dogs.

The Beales family moved in across the road three years ago. We have since become extended families to each other. They leave us and Doha on Friday for good. We take comfort in the fact that they are moving back to Perth, so we will be together again one day.

It's the end of an era.

Matilda's Hi5 Party

Matilda is a girl who knows what she wants, and in the case of her fourth birthday party it was definitely a Hi5 party! It was a huge hit and we can't wait to see what theme she choses for her fifth birthday party!

Graduation Party

Matilda's nursery (kindergarten) class had a graduation ceremony for the littlies. Here's M & M waiting for the presentation. Here they are in their mortar board hats, so cute. Matilda's teacher, Mrs Cameron (in the background) presented her with a certificate. The cake, complete with class photo. Thanks for the memories!

Matilda and the rest of her nursery classmates perform in their Sing-Along concert. Very cute.

At school this morning...

It is that time of the year when parents just open their wallets and the money pours out (end of year parties, endless gifts, Hope & Homes fundraising, etc.). I've just bought Isabelle's framed artwork from the Year 2 Art Exhibition... hers is the one in the middle on the metal stand. Tomorrow I'm paying to watch Matilda sing in the nursery concert. Can't wait.

Garage Sale in Green Village

With several families leaving Doha this summer who just can't fit everything into their 40 foot containers, we decided to have a joint garage sale on our street. A huge success I think, for buyers and sellers alike!

It's our Friday morning routine...

Every Friday morning, we take Tessa (the dog) to Al Wakra beach for a run with her friend Julie. This week Isabelle's friend Olivia stayed over, so she got to come with us.
