Bubble Trouble

We finally cook up the bubble recipe (Fairy dishwashing liquid, corn flour, baking powder & water) and try out the amazing bubble maker thingy that Rob & Gem sent for Matilda's birthday. Pure fun.

My Birthday!!

Stepping in to heaven.
Nikohl and I start the day with treatments at Sharq Six Senses Spa... one word AMAZING.
Every little detail is true to the theme, an old Qatari village. Beautiful change rooms.
Getting excited.
We walk past a pool... we'll be back for sure.
Our treatment room. It all starts with 10 minutes in the steam room, then salt scrub and massage. After two hours on the table, we meander to find that pool...
Feeling totally relaxed.
Who wouldn't in a place like this?
A quick outdoor shower before a dip in the pool. It was deluxe! Photo of the day.
We want to live here forever. We tried everything, even the hot/cold pools.
It's just so picturesque.
Back outside, we tour the lobby of the hotel. And the sheesha rooftop lounge.
After a quick bite to eat, we grab the kids and head out for some henna designs. Nikohl's foot.
Isabelle admires the intricate workmanship.
Wow, the genetics are strong... we all have the same arms and hands!
In the evening, Brendan treated Nikohl and I to a night out - sushi dinner and a shopping trip.
I'm a lucky girl.

More Doha tourist spots

The girls and I take Nikohl to the Pearl.
Here's the model of where we are right now.
The whole shebang. Pretty cool.
Out on Porto Arabia, the first part of the Pearl.
There's a sale on! The girls hang out and Isabelle finishes a book while Nikohl and I check out Hermes, Armani, and more...
After a quick lunch at City Centre, we head down to the Corniche.
That entire pumpkin pie was slimming!
We rented a dhow and cruised the 'harbour'.
Phallic much?
Anytime is a good time for a dance performance.
I'm totally in love with this building.
The souk area.
The Emiri Diwan.
I think that is the Grand Mosque in the background??
Skyline from the sea.
Aunty Nikohl grabs the camera and I'm on the other side for once.
And twice.
