We bid adieu to the elephants, and headed towards Kandy. We stayed at a beautiful hotel in the mountains and relaxed with Ayurvedic massages.

As we were tripping up towards Kandy, this was keeping us safe on the roads.

Our fellow travellers in tuk tuks galore.

We stop in at a Spice Garden and Matilda is overjoyed to find out that cocoa is a fruit!

The burden of having a school teacher as a mum... daily travel journal entries.

A family shot for a handsome tip.

Ohoy, look what we found lurking around the hotel!

Ah gee, that's better.

Funny looking things.

Kandy Lake - an artificial lake built by the last king of Kandy (and of Sri Lanka)

This piece has been ordered by a hotel in London and will take them 5 months to complete.

Matilda is brave enough to ride this kind of elephant!
